Smart box dominated the startup competition

Connect Visions to Solutions is a startup competition of the Czech-German Chamber of Commerce (CNOPK) that opens the door to the global market for young and promising companies. The theme of the fourth edition of the international event was artificial intelligence. "Our recent survey showed that more than half of companies want to use artificial intelligence within five years. However, they often lack the necessary know-how."[1] Bernard Bauer, Executive Board Member, explains the current situation. 

The idea behind Connect Visions to Solutions is to connect the partners of the competition (this year, Bosch, Siemens, Škoda Auto and also the capital city of Prague) with ambitious entrepreneurs who are just starting their businesses. However, these are not big companies that have a plethora of technology visions to choose from. Established players only specify the subject of their inquiry, and then it is up to the startups to which of them they offer their innovative solutions. 

This year's edition was certainly not lacking in clever ideas, as a total of 196 projects from thirty countries entered the competition. The best of them this time was ours - 4dot Mechatronic Systems and it was nominated to the final by Siemens. Our technology monitors the condition of production machines using sensors and input data analysis, helping to prevent malfunctions in time. 

Along with the possibility of a new partnership, we took away a financial reward of 4000 euros from the final evening. Our success also caught the attention of the media. In addition to the official press release on the ČNOPK website, we are also featured in articles in czechleaders or Technic Weekly.
